Dietary-Fiber Protects Against Modern Chronic Diseases And Reduce Risks of Cancer.

Did you know that a premier journal, The Lancet, published a long-term study by Dr. Dennis Burkitt and other medical researchers, whose findings were in essence a shocking indictment, that the modern diet as found in affluent countries is completely deficient of the natural substance responsible for a long and disease-free life?

Oh! Lordy, what are we missing? Dr. Burkitt and associates compared the staple foods of regions of tropical Africa and that of affluent Americans and western Europe. The observation was inescapable that when the diet contains roughage, stools are softer and larger while bowel movements are regular and frequent.

It was immediately and obviously self-suggesting that dietary fiber has a major role in the protection of the body human against certain large intestine diseases.

The Curse of Dietary-Fiber Deficiency.

Isn’t that very interesting? In other words, in North America and wester Europe, we are eating a high-priced, high-prestige diet that leads directly to obesity, cancer of the colon, hypertension and heart attacks. Furthermore, chronic ailments such as appendicitis, hemorrhoids, diverticulitis, constipation, cancer of the colon, varicose veins are in effect demonstrably a result of a deficiency, nutritionally deficient diet.

Cholesterol Control and Cholesterol Ratio.

In addition, the research teams also observed that whenever dietary fiber was removed from the diet, serum-cholesterol levels rose up, and that eating a fiber-rich diet or when cellulose was added to the diet, serum-cholesterol levels became reduced. That certainly looks like a good low cholesterol diet plan whereby nature automatically controls your cholesterol and the cholesterol ratio

The Sickening North American Diet.

Of course, you reader may already have asked self, where is the deficiency in a diet as varied and rich as the north American diet? Well then, have you at all noticed that by and large that diet is purified(read processed)carbohydrates of sugars and starches and the wrong fats and wrong oils(and deodorized, stabilized etc etc)? Please take note that to you—- instant(processed) mashed potatoes and polished(fiber removed)white rice are worlds apart, but to your digestive system both are identical. A sweet-roll(processed flour) and cereal(loaded with disguised sugars) are different to you, but in nutritional terms they are identical as far as the digestive system sees them, so to speak.

Do you see, there is no dietary fiber whatsoever, all removed.

Even in the fresh foods realm, matters are getting worse with new strains of low-fiber fruits and vegetables adapted to the so called”modern-taste”, so we are all told. As an example, the stringless string beans.

Once again, there is no dietary fiber whatsoever, all removed.

And yes, you do wonder how come a singular deficiency, dietary fiber, can give rise to a multitude of very serious diseases that are now almost epidemic and modern treatments left badly wanting.

Simply put, everyone of those diseases is demonstrably related to the digestion and metabolism of food and the operation of the digestive system.
